Are You Comfortabe In Your Own Skin?

When you get right down to it, that's all any of us want to be.  Content with who we are, the choices we make, the path that we have chosen to walk, and OK with our imperfections, mistakes, and the lives that we are living.

Yet, many of us exist in a "transparency gap."  By this I mean we "show up" in the "real" world as someone who we know we are not, feeling that, for one reason or another, we need to suppress our most genuine selves.

We concede our dreams, because we may have been told they are impossible or unrealistic.  We may feel the urge to change the direction of our lives, yet succumb to continuing to lead a life that  is "familiar" to us, or one that other's have come to expect from us, but that we know isn't congruous with who we are.

Over time..... this takes a toll... On you.  On me.  On society.  And also on those we love and want to be an example to.

Within each of us is a special gift, a voice, or a presence.  It's a yearning to be uniquely open, full force, and "up front" with the world.

The age at which we recognize this doesn't matter.  But that we do, does matter.  It's the legacy we want to leave.

The sooner this occurs, the better.  But better to have reached it late than to have left it as a part of us that will never be known.

Each of us are on a journey to what is our most complete and authentic selves.

I invite you to walk with me on this journey.
